We have a dynamic team of volunteers that is growing, not just in number, but they are building a sense of belonging for themselves and others through their service.
This past spring, our Volunteer Coordinator, Jenn Dube asked the volunteers for their reflections on volunteering. What she learned is how much more the volunteers are getting from their involvement. The quotes below are in their words, why they appreciate volunteering for us. Beyond what is written in these quotes, heard in their conversations is their desire to stay connected with each other, outside of their volunteering. They have turned volunteering into belonging, building new friendships, new lunch dates and outings, and building bonds between our St. Catharines team and our Thorold team!
On behalf of all the staff, the Board, the clients and community partners, our sincere thanks for all that you do!
