Upper Deck The Halls
Upper Deck The Halls began in 2016 and has always been an amazing night of powerhouse performers belting out popular Holiday songs at the Upper Deck Taphouse & Grill to raise money for Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold.
This yearly event started as a passion project for Tenja Hagenberg (of Performance On Point) who was working part-time at Upper Deck. When Tenja noticed the monetary donations appeared to be low in the Community Care donation cannisters, she approached Upper Deck owner Mike Minervini and proposed the idea of hosting a cabaret Christmas performance to benefit Community Care. With the help of a few friends from her theatre community and a few Upper Deck employees who loved to sing, Upper Deck The Halls came to be!
Since 2016, we have had 4 successful Upper Deck the Halls and have raised over $5000.00!
This year, Upper Deck The Halls will look a little different! Limited seating in our favourite restaurants means we’ll be taking this Cabaret online. The “12 Days of Upper Deck The Halls” will start on December 1st on Facebook and will run through to December 12th!
(December 1st is known around the world as Giving Tuesday, so what better day to start?).
Throughout the 12 days of "Upper Deck The Halls,” Upper Deck will be donating 5% of all food sales from December 1 – December 12 directly to Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
We will be bringing you amazing performances of your favorite Holiday classics right in the comfort of your own home, so be sure to check in every day on the Upper Deck The Halls Facebook event page for new videos daily.
And please consider donating to Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold this year – no amount is too big or too small. This is an uncertain time for many, and a donation to Community Care would go a very long way in our community.
