because we all need a little joy!

Through the Adopt an Angel Program, NEW toys, stocking stuffers and warm winter accessories are collected for children from babies to 12 years of age.

Why adopt an angel?

Families can be under an enormous amount of financial pressure, especially during the holidays. Many kids in school also work to help their families. Add to this, the aging population; grandparents living in the home…causing dollars to be stretched even further. Ideally, we would like to have something to give to every child registered at Community Care—through experience, we know that these clients are likely to be the last to receive a holiday gift, if at all. Together with your family, business, organization…or even as an individual wishing to contribute, you can make a significant difference to a child’s Christmas memory.

Suggestions:

Where to get started: Look at popular children’s stores like ToysR’Us, Walmart, Master Mind and find out what’s popular this season. Perhaps shop with your young child for a toy for someone their age!

Companies/Organizations: Your organization may choose to create trees with tags of stars, angels, or simply holiday themed tags listing gender and age range (example Boy 10-12 yrs/ Unisex Toddler/Girl 5-6 yrs./Unisex Infant). Your donors in the “angel” program are invited to select a tag and replace the tag with a corresponding gift.

Families/Individuals: This program works wonderfully for families who wish to give a gift that will truly make a difference. EXAMPLE of possibilities: Place a limit on the amount spent…$15, $20, $25 each…your choice. Each person purchases something for their own angel (they can choose any gender or age).

NOTE: The gifts may be delivered to 12 North St, St. Catharines or 19 Albert St. W. in Thorold by December 21, 2022. For safety & security reasons, we thank you for only including gifts that are UNWRAPPED and NEW.
