Donating

Community Care needs the support from our community more than it ever has before. Each year, the number of people in need continues to rise. Funding streams are not as lucrative as they have been in the past and we continue to see an increased demand in the need for our services. By donating to Community Care, you will positively impact members in our community and ensure we can continue to provide the services of aid that many rely upon.

Whether it be goods, volunteering your time, or monetary donations large and small, every bit of support matters.

Thank you for choosing to make a difference.

Tribute Donations

Celebrate a special occasion through a Gift of Honour. This is a thoughtful way to celebrate a wedding (or present as wedding favours), to commemorate an anniversary, retirement, birthday, a holiday season gift, or “that just because gift”. Recognizing or remembering someone through a gift of honour or memorial gift is a considerate way to mark milestones and celebrate the life of a loved one, while making a difference to those in need in our community.

Charitable tax receipts may be provided. Please contact us for details.

Monetary Donations

Your donations will help Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold carry out its mission and vision to assist those in our community who are facing circumstances that restrict their ability to achieve self-sufficiency. Whether a one time or on-going contribution, every amount of support makes a difference.

All donations of $10 and over will receive a thank you letter and charitable gift receipt, suitable for income tax purposes.

Third Party Events

Consider hosting your own event in partnership with us! Examples include a car wash, bake sale, dance, open house, market or Holiday celebration. When you partner events with Community Care, all proceeds of food, clothing or monetary donations will benefit individuals and families in need.

Allow us to personalize your barrel or jar labels and we can also provide you with informative handouts, flyers or pamphlets.

Thank you for being our ambassador!

Legacy Giving

One of the ways you can support Community Care is by making a Legacy Donation. We offer a number of ways for you to touch the lives of the children, individuals and families in need in our community.

Outright Gifts of Cash or Securities

An outright gift gives you the satisfaction of seeing your contribution at work immediately. You will see that lives are being immediately impacted, because you cared enough to make a difference. Download Planned Giving pdf

Gifts of Life Insurance – Future Dollars… only Pennies a Day

Providing security for a growing family and support in times of unforeseen need are the reasons why most people buy life insurance. But life insurance can also be used as a creative financial tool to fund a gift cost-effectively. You can help ensure a brighter future for the women of our community and their families…with a gift funded by life insurance. Download Gifts of Life Insurance pdf

Estate Gifts – The Power of Your Will

Will Power – the power to use the assets accumulated over a lifetime of accomplishment to provide for your loved ones as you see fit, rather than as the government might determine. Moreover, you retain control to easily make revisions should your future circumstances change.

Retirement Funds – For Saving…and for Giving

Use tax-deferred assets accumulated for your retirement to provide for a favoured charity, after you no longer require them. Convert an ‘end of life’ tax liability into a meaningful charitable gift. Moreover, retain control to easily make revisions should your future circumstances change. Download Retirement Funds pdf
